About Neo

AI is the most significant shift in how work gets done since the advent of the Internet — yet most organizations fail to capture its value. Neo is changing that.

Founded by Bhavin Turakhia — Co-Founder of Zeta, Radix, and Titan is building an integrated, AI-first suite of products that capture work, centralize context, and make AI a first-class participant in every workflow:

  • Tasket — A radically reimagined, AI-native work management platform that centralizes context and makes AI delegation seamless for all work.

  • Friday — AI Assistant, co-worker and agent platform, pre-integrated into Tasket, Studio, Drive and 1000+ SaaS platforms.

  • Studio — AI-native suite for co-creating docs, spreadsheets and diagrams collaboratively with humans and agents.

  • Drive — AI-native repository, where humans and agents can co-work on files.

  • Scribe — AI assistant for meetings that goes beyond note-taking and actually does your work while on the call.

About the role

As Lead DevOps Engineer you will own the infrastructure and delivery platform behind the Neo suite — cloud, CI/CD, and the path to production — and set the reliability bar for the engineers building on it.

We are proponents of leveraging best-in-breed AI tools at every step of the engineering lifecycle — design, development, review, and testing. This requires a different engineering mindset: a lean team of senior, hands-on, AI-adept engineers, resulting in ultra-rapid iteration cycles and fast output. You will own and oversee this approach for the platform, from design through to production.

At Neo, that platform serves both people and a growing fleet of agents shipping change in parallel — so the faster and safer you make the path to production, the more leverage the whole org gets. Developer and agent experience is the product you own.

Job Location

Bangalore, India (100% on-site)

Responsibilities

Cloud & infrastructure

  • Design, build, and operate scalable, secure, globally distributed infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure.

  • Manage everything as code with Terraform or Crossplane; optimise for performance, cost, and scale.

Delivery & GitOps

  • Architect and optimise CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for fast, reliable, auditable deployments.

  • Run declarative, Git-based environment promotion with drift detection and continuous reconciliation (Argo CD / Flux), using blue-green, canary, and rolling strategies.

AI-first delivery & guardrails

  • Build the guardrails and quality gates that let both engineers and agents ship to production safely at high volume.

  • Develop automation and internal platform tooling in Python, Go, or Bash to remove operational toil — directing agents through implementation and validating what they produce.

Reliability & observability

  • Own observability across monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing.

  • Lead incident response and root-cause analysis; turn findings into lasting reliability improvements.

Security & mentoring

  • Enforce cloud security, secrets management, and secure-SDLC practices with a DevSecOps mindset.

  • Mentor engineers and establish the DevOps standards and paved roads the wider org adopts.

Skills

AI-native engineering practice — Uses agentic tooling across the lifecycle and builds the harness — reusable modules, automation, guardrails, and CI quality gates — that makes both human and agent-authored infrastructure change safe to ship.

Systems & infrastructure — Strong Linux/Unix, kernel, networking, and OS fundamentals; deep grasp of distributed systems and microservice patterns across public and private cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure/OpenShift).

CI/CD & GitOps — Extensive hands-on with pipeline-as-code, GitOps delivery (Argo CD / Flux), and advanced deployment strategies; builds resilient, fully automated pipelines.

Containers & cloud-native — Production Kubernetes; ingress/API gateways (Kong, NGINX); service mesh (Istio) a plus; solid on cluster networking and scaling patterns.

Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Crossplane, or CloudFormation, plus configuration management (Ansible).

Observability & reliability — Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning in complex distributed systems; familiar with SRE methodologies. Chaos/resilience engineering a bonus.

Security & DevSecOps — Cloud security best practices, access control, secrets management, and secure SDLC.

Programming & automation — Production-quality Python, Go, or Bash; builds operators, platform services, and reusable infrastructure modules.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years in infrastructure/DevOps, with kernel, networking, and OS fundamentals.

  • Hands-on across public/private cloud, distributed systems, CI/CD, Kubernetes, service mesh, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and full observability toolchains.

  • Programming depth in Python, Go, or Ruby, and cloud-security/DevSecOps practice.

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent. A learner for life and an effective engineer.
